Default fit problems

whine and cry some more. As you can see my end caps really suck. the bottom lip of the fiberglass is higher than the metal of the top seam and off to one side. I was thinking about cutting along the top edge and bending it in to reduce the gap and then wrapping it with fiberglass mesh. what are your thoughts on this. Do you have any better ideas?

i am in the same boat as you with these parts not fitting
i cant really tell form the picture whats goign on, but i had a gap between my extension so sliced the end off the top section of the quarter panel brought it the extension and welded in the gap, ground it down and it looks great, but since that is aftermarket panel on back try to fit your original extensions to it to see if its the extension or the panel, doenst matter a whole lot, if you are not using them but it narrows it down fomr fixing the fiber glass or metal, you can do either but think metal is easier to work with than fiberglass

yes i know they are of no use, but that tells you that its the fiberglass that needs reworked not the quarter, which is gonna be a PITA
and i have VERY little experience with fiberglass and the few times i did do it it looked like sh*t

Fit the trunk lid first! Get the gaps set on the lid and ensure it is in the exact position and then fit the extensions. If they are not aligned to the trunk, they look like crap. Yours is a very common problem and I think you might find that the extensions are a little too long. Once you trim them a bit they may fit better.
