Default New Here

Hey, my names Dan and I'm 18 years old. I've had my stang for about 2 years now. It's had its ups and downs and overall now its getting where its a pretty reliable car. When I bought it, the 289 had been recently rebuilt and the interior had been fully restored, the only thing it needed was paint. Well after getting a few small problems out the way at first, I saved $$$ for over a year and a half and finally got it painted. Its a pretty good job, and I'm happy with it. This is the last summer for a while where I will be able to save and upgrade stuff. I start college in the fall. In the next few months I plan to get a new carb and a new ignition system. When I'm an engineer in a few years I plan to buy a few more ha ha. I'll prob have even more questions soon, but I just wanted to get my story out.

Man, your story sounds like mine did 20 some years ago. I had just got my car painted and I knew I would not be doing anything to it for a wile because I was going to school for engineering. By the time I got out, my values had been compromised and I was more interested in less important things like a job, a house and a family. Luckily I still have her and I can start paying her back for the years of neglect I inflicted upon her.

P.S. This is step number 3 (owning the problem) of a 12 step program for recovering mustang neglectors and abusers. With your patience, love and help, I will recover.

Dang I'm still stuck on step one... Not enough Time and Money [sm=boohoo.gif]
But I can say, since I just graduated college last month, it is well worth it, even if you can't do the things you want to the car or you can't afford to (my case) you will still have it when it's all said and done you'll be able to do the things you want (maybe a few years after you pay off your student loans) [:-] and college is the best time of your life, party it up, hook up with girls, goto class, [sm=itsok.gif]work at a cool place in town (ie I worked at a liqour store near campus, made me into a local celeb in this town, I haven't worked there for about 6 months and still have people comming up to me at the gym and sayin, sup and asking about how business is there) [sm=chattypair.gif]and most important make some good buds [sm=partyparty.gif]
