Your hole ought to be the same size for the stainless felt lined one to work. I have the standard interior which originally would have had the plastic ones, but the stainless ones work just fine.

Yes but that metal w/felt is listed as a '69 piece. What are the chances it will fit properly into my '66?

Well mines all covered up and packed away for the winter, but if someone else with a 69 can measure the big hole for the lock rod...
