Default Cam - Question

Here is the Roller cam that I have taken out of my 89 302 engine. I am going to assume that I can not use this... What are your thoughts. I have a tapplet Cam that looks alot better than this one. Question... what do i do!

Thanks

what year motor would it be going into? if your talking about rebuilding the 89 there is no reason you couldnt re-use the stock cam, other than the fact that it sucks =)

You're not swapping a flat tappet cam in for a roller cam, are you?

There ya go I just hate to see you waste cheap power. Roller cams really do have a lot more potential.

I'm still not sure what you are trying to do. Are you trying to put a roller cam in a 68 block? If so make sure you use a small circle cam. They make roller cams for the 68 block just don't try and use a 5.0 cam in there. Ask me how I know that some time.

and from what I read you don't have to bother with looking for high zinc oils

AHha... Nope its a 89 302 engine (BLOCK)). Originally equip. with a roller cam. It just looks worn down on the lobs where the rollers slide on.
