Question Help selecting Front Disc brake kit

Ok Im ready to upgrade my front drums to discs on my 67 coupe with a 289. Ive been hunting and there is quite a price range. I found a kit on Ebay with all the parts for power front disc brakes using all new parts for half what the kits in the Mustang magazines cost. Has anyone tried this kit?

Post a link. Is it SSBC, DBRU, Chockostang, or some other?

Personaly, I'm not a fan of the Granada swap. This was a good option years ago, when other options were not available. Today you have an array of options that keep the correct geometry and make purchasing replacement components at most auto stores possible.

My budget is telling me CSRP, my brain is saying why are you buying the cheapest option for the most important thing on your car? Ugh.

Then what are the choices when you want to keep the original 14" wheels?

The CSRP spindles for the "Granada" kit have been engineered to eliminate the bump steer issue.
I agree that doing swap from a Granada donor car has become less than ideal with the cost of kits.
If you have a 5 lug spindle on your car, there is a complete kit also by CSRP for $525 that uses the 4 piston Kelsey Hayes calipers. It will be pretty much what came originally from the Ford factory.
The KH kit will allow you to run MOST 14 inch wheels

I put that 'cheapest option' CSRP kit on my 67 last year and I'm very happy with it. Everything is OE-style, so getting parts (aside from calipers) is easy. They fit perfect and work great. I'd recommend it to anyone with V8 spindles that wants to do the swap.
