Default Installing Fog Lights

A couple quick questions-
I bought the kit from cj pony parts (scott drake)

When hooking the wires to the fog light bulbs is there a correct order/side...or it doesnt matter? The wires and terminals look the same.....not like a battery with red/black neg positive. From those two wires I need to run a ground-does it matter which wire I cjose on either fog light?

Where is the curcuit board mounted ?
should I electrical tape up the curcuit board?
I am assuming it will always be "hot"

I am a little nervous about finding a hot lead to plug into the wire that goes to the board. Will I find a hot (female end) coming off the back of my headlight switch that is unused that I can plug into?

Hope this made sense.Thanks Scott

If its the factory GT style fog lights then it should matter which side of the bulb is wired to + or -. You should get power from the + side of the starter relay/solenoid. The kit should come with a wiring harness. As for the circuit board, I don't know what that is. I just installed the kit from CJ on my 65 and there is a circuit breaker. You can mount that anywhere under the dash that is a good mouning location out of the way of moving parts. You shouldn't have to tape anything.

Do a search on Mustang Monthly and there is a tech article about it.

That was a typo before. It should not matter which side of the bulb is wired to + or -. Sorry about that.

Yeah its a circuit breaker. If it gets hot from overloading it will reset itself when it cools down.

I mounted the switch under the dash next to the parking brake lever. I found a hole there exactly the right size. The switch is supposed to be mounted in the face of the dashboard on the far left side near the bottom, but I didn't want to drill a hole in mine.

If the convertible top switch is where I remember it being the fog switch goes near it.

You'll need to drill 2 holes in the radiator support for the wires to the lights. You don't have to make them as large as they say to. I made mine smaller and used rubber grommets instead of the large plastic ones that game with it. There are dimples near the horns where the holes need to be made.

Chech out this thread and the links to Stangnet for pictures.
