Have longtube headers aswell.
I want to have side pipes that I find it too crowded around the rear axle and the gas tank, preferably on the left side. The car is lowered 2 ". Thanks for a good sound example.

LCC Your car was greate!
fishkg Realy liked the sound of your car
kalli I will check the FAQ to.

I have mufflers from Saab 9-3 Aero -04 on my mustang now.

I too have been searching for that perfect sounding muffler. I don't want Magnaflows, and flowmasters aren't quite there. I have been looking into Cherrybombs lineup or just straight pipes.

Flowmaster is what we use on all our street cars, the vid does not do it justice. We use spintech muflers on the race car and their loud. Borla also makes a good low rumble mufler.

Here's what my car sounds like with Tri-Y headers, 2 1/2" exhaust with H-Pipe with Flowmaster 40 Series Mufflers running all the way back with Dr. Gas Tailpipes from Mustangs Plus:

Put a 2.5" Magnaflow X-pipe kit on my '65 with 5.0L EFI and JBA shorties ... and replaced the mufflers shortly thereafter with Dynomax Super Turbos. Call me old, but the Magnaflows were just too noisy. FWIW, I'v e noticed that the drone and volume is much higher in the fastback and than my previous coupe and my brother's vert.
