I welded up the cowl vents on my 68 as well. You just cant keep stuff out of them and those plastic covers they sell look like **** IMO.

Were the bottoms of the front fenders gone all the way through or is that just surface rust? Mine were gone in that same place along with the bottom of the brace inside. I used the back section of a patch panel and the interior brace lower patch. Both worked pretty good once I reshaped them a little.
And what is that green stuff on both sides of the radiator in the first picture? Algea? Green paint?
You did nice work. I like the color. You don't see that too often.

You did nice work. I like the color. You don't see that too often.
Yea, the bottom was completly rusted through including the brace. Factory color was candy apple red and was re-painted twice with mint green. We had fun sanding all that paint off. I went over today and worked on the interior a bit...you know, visors, mirror, ashtray and some bezels....my glass hood should be here tomorrow. YEAH!

My wife's glass hood finally came in.....





Do you know how hard it is to get the lines this straight when the parts are off the car and you have no reference to go by?
