Default 67 Back up Light Gasket

I hate the grey gasket used to seal the back up lights to the rear valence. Does anyone know if the Black gasket for a 65-66 would work with 67 back up lights?

Thanks

I don't know, but I agree. I don't care for the gray ones much either. Its not that bad, but the black would look better.

I think they only cost a couple bucks. I say try it and see, unless someone chimes in and says they won't work.

I'll try to get a decent measurement of the diameter of my backup lights and you can compare that to yours.

If you have a mustang parts supplier that you use, call them and ask. I've found that they will give you any info you need, cause you just might buy from them.

I just measured mine and they are about 4 inches diameter to the outer edge. It is possible that the chrome housing on one or the other is thicker/thinner so the gasket may not work because of that.

Why not paint or use a Sharpie to make the grey one black?

Paint flakes off on rubber. I never thought of the sharpie. I will use that as a last resort. I dont want the sun turning it brown
