Cool Coils made the ride height higher?

I just installed M+ 620 coils and opentracker roller perches. I measured the height from the bottom of the lip of my front fender before I put them on and it was 25 3/4". After the install in went to 28 1/4!. Why did this happen?

You gotta keepin mind the old ones you were taking off were probably older than sin and sagging. When I put M+ 620 springs on my car I had to cut them to get the desired ride height.

I am just in a little shock. I did replace my original coils which were sagging, but it raised 2 1/2 inches! I thought at the least the ride height would be the same with 1" dropped coils. Has this happened to anyone else of heard of it happening?

They are new springs. Drive it around for a few weeks to let them settle. Then cut if desired.

It can take a couple months of normal for springs to settle. Let them settle, then decide if they need to be cut.

I have those leaf springs on my '67 and I'm happy with them. If they don't sit the way you want, you can always add lowering blocks.

I actually ended up cutting a full coil off of mine (maybe more, I don't recall to well) and the Global West arms I'm using were also mounted lower. But like most people have said. Drive it around see how much it settles then cut to desired height. If you're patient enough cut 1/4 coil at a time re install and see how you like it.

Are your leaf springs mid-eye or reverse eye?
