IM FREAKIN' ANGRY
Take it back, tell them you want a written reciept for everything they do. Not sure on the exact laws in MD, but out here in CA, a shop would buuuuurn for that. A quick call to the Bureau of Automotive Repair would solve things right quick.
All this said...why are you hot tanking a 2V cast iron manifold? A Weiand 4V manifold only runs like $90, and you can pick up a rebuildable Autolite 4100 for another $50, plus $20 for a rebuild kit.

throwing it through their windows was the first thing that came to my head when i saw it in my friends trunk, but.... i didnt want my friend to know that it wasnt satisfactory so i let it go for then
Wow, what a ****ty job, you'd think they wouldn't pull that crap with todays economy. I sent my rotating assembly in to be balanced last week and I accidently got the wrong rings, so I was able to get the right rings and take them back to the machine shop. I was supposed to have it back yesterday, then that turned to today, and now it's turned to next Thursday (maybe Tuesday, but we all know maybe = not a chance) unless I want to pay $40 for shipping, so I sort of know how you feel because now the '65 is being set back another week.
Weiand 8124 from Summit, should be something like $90. If you poke around ebay for long enough, you should be able to find a rebuildable Autolite 4100.
Sorry to say, you get what you pay for. Count your self lucky they didn't stick you with more. You have to stay with people you have worked with before and trying to save yourself a couple of bucks is going to get you nowhere.
Just save up and buy a new 4brl intake and carb, you'll be farther ahead in the long run..

I've tried a couple of machine shops around town and I learned so very useful info, like for example which machine shops never to go back to and I tell everyone I know to beware. i have on guy now and he is so a little bit more but worth every penny.
go back and tell them you were very unsatisfied with the work they did and either to do it right or get a refund.
if they do it right, then proceed with your plans.
if you get a refund, go the other route with the weiand intake.

i've got a Edelbrock Performer that is in fair shape. water ports have some wear but it was working absolutely fine with no leaks when it was pulled. I feel for you getting burned so I'm not even gonna try to make any money off of this. If you wanna cover shipping its yours. I'll get some pictures of it today so you can decide and PM me your shipping info so I can get you a shipping quote.
