What part of Md are you in. I can get you the name of a few reputable people near me (Balt-Annap). Whether you can walk there will be another story.
I would take this as a $45 lesson and move on. They did crappy work once, do you really want them to handle your part again?

Sorry to say, you get what you pay for. Count your self lucky they didn't stick you with more. You have to stay with people you have worked with before and trying to save yourself a couple of bucks is going to get you nowhere.
Just save up and buy a new 4brl intake and carb, you'll be farther ahead in the long run..

i've got a Edelbrock Performer that is in fair shape. water ports have some wear but it was working absolutely fine with no leaks when it was pulled. I feel for you getting burned so I'm not even gonna try to make any money off of this. If you wanna cover shipping its yours. i have a reputable machine shop that did my block work and should have done this too, but this was in walking distance, and has been open since 1911, so i figured they couldnt be that bad, i was wrong, or they jsut saw a 15 year old kid they thought they could get over on....

I e mailed the shop soon after i posted here, and ym reply was something along the lines of
"Our experienced technicians feel that the job they performed is adequate for your use of the part"
