Trying to prep the mustang before it goes up for sale. We can't get it to crank now. Might have killed another battery, this one is only around 2-3 months old. We tried to jump it with my dads truck and put it on a battery charger and it doesn't even get a full crank before going dead. What is wrong?
I still have to replace my voltage regulator, but it cranked fine yesterday.

I don't normally recommend this but I think you should stick with you gut feeling on this one BA and sell it. There is plenty of time down the road to pick up another one. With your school situation and all I think you're making the right choice.

If it is paid off then store it and go back to it later. You will probably regret it later when you see the guy you sold it cruising around in it. To fix the voltage regulator you could get a GM alternator that has a voltage regulator built into it. That alt. only needs slight mods to the body to fit right.

Electrical issues are a pain to figure out, but it helps if you take the wiring diagram and look at it logically, start from the battery and work your way from there till you figure out where the problem is
