Default Not Using the Printed Circuit board

Has anyone removed the PCB and hand wired their stock 69-70 gauges? I imagine it wouldnt be that hard. Just a pain getting the lights to work. Im either going to do this or buy new aftermarket gauges and install them. any hints? Suggestions?

new cirvuit board $70 versus new gauges and hassle of rewiring. I replaced circuit board twice on 2 different cars. Not a tough job - epecially the second tme :-)

Well my circuit board fried on the way back from the muffler shop. I had electrical problems anyways and planned to go with aftermarket gauges. I'm just getting a Painless wiring harness for the whole car and go from there.
