I have a 66 mustang that came with a 200 but we decided to put in a 170 after getting such a great deal on it. Didn't realize how different the 170 is to the 200 until it was too late. Now we have dropped in the engine only to realize that the tranny is too big. Is it possible to change the dust plate and bell housing and everything in between to fit the 170? It is a borg warner t10 4sp with a hurst shifter on it. I would really like to save the tranny if possible. Swapping the engine is not an option per the wife. Any ideas?
