Smile 66 dual master cylinder conversion help

My Mustang weekend continues.
Replaced tank sending unit & installed new 570 Avenger & all that is cool.

Working on CJ Pony Parts dual bowl MC conversion today (manual drums). Everything is fine except the prebent lines they sent have the fittings reversed. The new MC has a smaller threaded hole in front & larger in rear. If I put the lines they sent in those holes the lines are about 4" from where they need to be. If the fittings were swapped on the 2 lines they would line up perfect. But before I cut, swap fittings & reflare lines thought I would see if anyone else had this happen to them. The fiitings they sent look exactly like the ones on their website so I think they are correct. I think the MC has the holes in the wrong positions (larger hole should be in front, not back). Is this just a variation in different MC manufactorers? I'm just a little worried they sent the wrong MC, but if it will work I will swap the fittings. Any thoughts?

It'll work fine if you swap fittings. The tubes are still the same size.

Thanks Tad. I was just worried that this MC wouldn't work as far as pushing correct amount of fluid, but I guess it will.
Also after looking at the MC a little more, it also has a plugged fitting on the front, so maybe these are a generic type of MC that fits many applications & therfore the fittings are not the correct size in the correct locations.
I've looked at probably 20 pics of 67 Mustang MC's today & they all had the larger fitting in the front location & mine has the larger fitting in the rear.
Guess I'll cut & swap in the morning.

Thanks for sharing this information. I have the single master cylinder on my 65 and want to change it to dual incase the front or back goes out.

I had the same problems last year. I ordered the dual "kit" off of ebay. (I cant remember the name of the co.) Anyway, the lines were wrong, no directions, and when I called they said the rod they sent with the kit was to be use. So I bent lines and put in. Well guess what, the rod to the pedal was too short! I called them back, and they said "that happens some times" REALLY F$$$ER! I was mad. He told be I would have to pull the rod out, breaking the clip, and use my stock one. I did this, reinstalled, and not the master was broke. Neat. To make too long a story short, I would go to the parts store, order a 67 Master, bend your own lines, and use the stock rod out of your car. It saves you money over the "kit" price, and works great. (You probably already have in in so my finger tips are hurting for nothing, but good luck)

Just talked to CJ Pony parts.
They said that was the wrong MC & they will replace it. So maybe by the weekend I can get her going (or rather stopping) again.

"The new MC has a smaller threaded hole in front & larger in rear ...."
make sure to connect front brakes to the larger (rear, firewall side hole). I've seen a many wrong installations

That is what I need to do Kalli.
Front brakes to the rear bowl & rear brakes to the front bowl.
I could use brass adaptors for the threaded holes but that will move my prebent lines too far out & they would need to be bent in order to work. I'd rather wait & get the correct MC so they fit right & look right.
I even looked at the MC's for a 67 at the auto parts store & they were all the exact opposite of the one I have.
At least CJ's is saying they will make it right.

CJ sent me the wrong one at first also. Then when I got the new one, the problem I ran into was getting it to fit. I have power brakes and the thing was too long. It just wouldn't go in between the booster and the shock tower.
