Removable hardtop
I was going to say, I never saw one for a 67-68 Mustang only the 65-66 style. It would have to be aftermarket for that year. I don't think I like it?
Kinda looks like a Fairlane Ranchero!

Here is a link to a 65-66 coupe that was converted to a removable hardtop / convertible. The homemade convertible top doesn't look good but the hardtop is barely noticeable.

If I were going to do a conversion like this and $$ was no object, I would make a FG roof that replicated the original coupe roof, and fabricate a soft top that looked and worked like a regular Mustang rag top. There would be a hard boot painted trim black or maybe body color that would be in-place whether the soft roof was up or down (anytime the hard roof wasn't being used). An optional body color tonneau cover could be fabricated and applied to cover the rear seats a la 60-63 T-Bird too while we're at it (OK, now I'm just getting silly).
If hold-down clamps (similar to the front clamps that attach a soft top to the windshield frame) are applied at the rear of the hard top under the window, no other part of the hard top needs to be attached to the car. The Hard Top can simply be padded on the bottom with a rubber gasket while the clamps front and back hold it down.

I thought of pulling a mold from my top and making a fiberglass top but it really wouldn't make that big of a difference. It would weigh less but due to the size and shape you would probably still need two people to remove/install it.
I've never cared much for T-tops or targa tops. I think the top should either be on or off not somewhere in between.

My moms boyfriend had a 328 gts. He let me borrow it for a weekend during the summer when I was taking a trip to see one of my buddies a few hours away. What he failed to mention was the ac was broken. It had black leather interior and even with the targa top off and the widows down there was not enough air flowing to keep from burning up. Other than that it was a fun car to drive. Its like a high class go kart.
