Default Spindle question

Forgive me if this is stupid but will the brakes from a 4 lug spindle fit on to a 5 lug spindle? I am replacing the suspension entirely but i can't buy new brakes yet. I need to move the car soon so i might try slapping the old brakes and wheels on to at least roll it out of the garage...

where are you located? A Lot of us have their old spindles and drums off of V8 cars laying around. I have mine if you were close enough you could have them.

I dont know if the spindls are the same from a 4 to 5 lug. Do you have the old 4 lug spindles to put it on temporarily.

No, the spindles are not the same for the early cars.
