Keep in mind a new rag top is VERY EXPENSIVE and even more EXPENSIVE to have professionally installed. Most people who have tried to install new tops have found it extremely difficult so they turn to shops.

I kinda like reading about all your problems with your current coupe, (sorry) after all you been through with her, how can you sell!!! In the long run the vert will hold more value once restored. In the end its your decision and pocket book.

Well since my mom said no on the vert, I had another idea.

Find a coupe with no motor or trans for cheap, buy a 300 I6 EFI and 4 or 5 speed and put it in or a 5.0. 3" cowl hood( with 300 only), 5 lug disc front and 5 lug drum rear with black bullitt rims. Black interior and red exterior.

I say we all call or E Mail BA's mom, nicely of course and explain the situation to her.

Give us the info. Then after you recover from the beating she will probably give you maybe she will reconsider.

My dad agrees with me on it. But then we have to go through mom to get it finalized and that is where trouble hits.

When I was a kid, I had a guinea pig named Zork. Poor Zork died one day, but I wanted another one. I got another one, but he looked completely different. I told my mom that I noticed Zork was really greasy, so I washed him and was amazed to find that someone had dyed him a different color! I spent the whole day cleaning him up and look at him now. Almost like a completely different guinea pig!

Take your car away and spend the whole day away from home. Come home with the convertible and tell your mom you worked really hard detailing the car and discovered that is was really a convertible and a different color under all that grime! In fact, it is so clean now, it almost looks like a different car!

Let us know how that goes for you...
