Default What would you pay?

So my girlfriends brother has a 67 coupe that is just rotten. He thinks that he has time to work on it, but with no engine, body, or fab skills to speak of I think otherwise. Originally he bought the car for somewhere around 1200 bucks a few years ago. To my knowledge he bought at as it sits. Currently the car has 302 in it and has the original 289 block as well. I have some pics, and am trying to sell the car for him, with his consent mind you. What do you guys think. I told him that I would try and sell it for around $1000, but honestly I think he would get much less than that due to the state of the car. My guess is $500 but I wanted to know what you all thought.

Its by far a parts car and could easily be restored. Yeah it needs new quarters, wheel wells, floors, etc, etc, etc but it's not that bad. If you can body panels are cheap.
Ultimately it'll come down to what a buyer is willing to spend on it. To someone who can do the work themselves it could be 1000.00 though no more. To anyone whose gonna have to pay a shop then 250 to 500 bucks. Anything over 500.00 I'd tell him to take it and run.

Thats about what I thought as well. Thanks for confirming my suspicions! I have a buyer lined up for today to come and look at it, he is in canada and is coming south to come and look at it. Its a 4 hour drive for him, so I am hoping he is really serious.

You can ebay all the parts. Every little bracket and clip sells. You can probably get several thousand if you have patience and don't mind running to the post office to send the parts out every week.
