New guy and need help...
It came with a factory dash clock and front bench seat so it may be that much rarer? I like the bench but I plan on putting buckets in it. I have a surplus of seats and a extra pair of 67 std buckets and its just a bolt in mod anyway.
I also will be putting a factory 8 track in it too.
I think I will too. I was thinking of popping the plug on the intake and boring out the log a little to help it breathe a little better. Also I may bend up a custom set of headers and upgrade the ignition. I've heard the 67 convts were fairly rare and I would do a complete stock resto but this sheetmetal has got me down and I figure that because it is that much gone it really wouldn't hurt to resto rod it and put the V-8 in. Please PM me any reccomendations you have for the 6cyl that would help it out. It's really not that bad of a little engine I dont think. It does have power steering and is an auto so I know its losing a bit of horsepower from those.
The tag on the door will.
Look at the body style code on the tag on the drivers door and it should say 76C if it is an original bench seat convertible.
EDIT: Also depending on what plant your convertible came from you might be able to find the build sheet.

Welcome ezfeed. The floors are a cake walk. the rockers will require to make a gig to keep the car together while you are replacing them. When your ready to upgrade to the v8 many of us, myself included, have done it.
Thank you so very much eZ

Have you performed this sheetmetal "surgery" before? If so could you please detail where I should start with it? Possiblt pics?
I will be buying the big one piece pan and I want to sell the two piece pans I have now and will do so at a percentage less than new. In fact I have lots of 65-66 parts to get rid of as well, is there a for sale section here?
Also the plan is to replace both inner and outer rockers, both torque boxes, both frame extensions, crossmember, I have new seat risers and the reinforcment box that goes under each seat. Pretty much EVERYTHING that makes up the floor pan and undercarriage where the floor is will need to be replaced.
Just imagine you poured water inside of your mustang and filled the floors up to the door sills/scuff plate. All of that in my car is rusty and most of it needs to be changed. I have decided to replace all of it and have purchased it already.

Welcome to the forums... some very interesting toys you have.
Is the trany tunnel rusted out? If not then I'd suggest NOT going with a full floor pan. Instead leave the tunnel in place, cut out the floors 1 side at a time and weld in new driver and passenger pans. The tunnel shouldn't be cut out unless absolutely necessary.

Here we go so far guys.....I ended up letting a guy do it wo has ressurected many ponies from near death before. He didn't use any jigs I dont think but it looks like he's dont a fantastic job so far. It's costing me $3,000 for complete new floors, supports, reinforcment pans, etc. All of the floor and stuff.
