How are the 289's for low end torque? With ashort stroke about 72mm they can't have the low end grunt of the 351.

I was at the track with my 65 mustang with a 289 with many goodies on it and I kick a 99 cobra's ***. It is over 400 hp though si I guess it should be but it is fun to do. My friend owned the cobra and lets just say he was not happy. He was talking s**t for a long time that he wanted to race.
