Paint Color
Well if the guy pulls through the mustang will be painted soon. Maybe even before the 45th show. I have a problem though. I don't know which color to paint it. Interior is red that is why I have chosen these colors.
The colors will be base coat and then have a pearl clear coat put on. I also need help figuring out what color pearl to put in the clear.
Post the color pearl and vote for the color base.

my vote is for black or a silver. all i know is that my red interior is like 16 different colors of red, the dash is one, seats another, carpet, doorpanels, headliner all different shades of red. having another shade of red on the exterior would be red overload.
I voted for CAR, but I think black would be killer. Only problem being that from what I have heard the body has to be perfect and the paint job super high quality to look good. I voted for CAR as it is more realistic for a tighter budget.
I voted for the raven black with red interior. I agree with wareagle that red on red can be overload and I'm afraid you'd get tired of it quickly.
I will say a Wimbledon White with a pearl in it would look nice but nothing beats "Basic Black" as Henry Ford said (Paraphrased).
I think it's both classy and elegant.
I also agree with Waffles in that it is just an awesome color combination with red interior. The body cannot have too many imperfections though and I do not know your budget or your connections. Whatever color you decide on post pics! And I hope it is done for the 45th Anniversary so I can see it when you come down.

You could try black with red stripes which looks real nice and is my number one recomendation, or go with the more classic red and black stripes. But, if striping it out of the budget go with just Raven Black, red on red will get old real quick.
Red and black really belong together in my opinion

Let me tell you something...I am in the SAME boat you are except my interior will be all black on my '66. My car is in the body/paint shop right now and he told me I have 2-4 more weeks before I need to decide on color.
This is the HARDEST thing to do if one does not go back to factory original (in my case it's Emberglo). I must have saved every pic on this forum, other forums and on ebay as well in a folder on my laptop labeled "Paint Ideas". I have over 200 photos in there right now and am still lost. However, I have narrowed my choices down to gray with black wide stripes, black on black, or a sweet dark blue color. Right now I am 90% black on black. I agree with the others, black just looks really good if you have a good body guy and with the nice rim/tire combo - it's smokin'!
I also agree with others about red overkill. I too have seen some Mustangs with so many shades of red that would drive me totally crazy. God speed. I feel for you, it's NOT an easy decision!!!
