I bought a set of Heidts subframe connectors and i got under my 1966 fastback today for a dry fit and noticed there is some sort of little brace or cap about 4 or 5 inches long on the end of the subframe end where the connector goes on. my question is should i grind or bend in to make it fit??

They should just slip right on with no problems. Here are some pictures of ours.

 

Is that a custom set up? If not who's product is it? Looks perdy!
