Rare option
ok from what im told the fold down back seat was a rare option is this true?
another thing since i got the mustang for a rediculessly low price i found 2 more cars i want from this guy but i know nothing about either really. one is like a model a or something and the other is an early mercury cougar not sure what year. where can i find some info on these

Nah, it wasn't rare. As far as the model A, I have always wanted one, but just never had the time or space to deal with one. I have seen them a shows and oogled them though. Here is some info, so you can hook up with these guys if you are interested in the Model A's. http://www.fordbarn.com/aforum/ The 60's cougars were simply just Mustangs with a few upgrades. I owned a 68 Cougar, and loved it.

In 65/66 fastbacks, there wasn't a choice at all... They all came with fold-down back seats.
Then for 67 and later it was an option. That's why Ford stopped calling the fastbacks "2+2s" after 1966.
