Opie, Those are great looking seats. Do you have any pics of your frame modifications. You care to share how much the new covers set you back

I'd like to know what seats other owners have modified for their rides

i dont have any pics of the frame modifications but it was very straight forword. i took a 1/4"x 1 1/2" flat stock and cut them to 18" in length. the holes in the fiero seats are 13.5" wide and 11" long, the mustang floor pan is 14"x11" (on my 69). i used the factory mustang tracks. i offset the flat stock to allow for the fiero seats to bolt up then mount the tracks to the flat stock making up the 1/2" difference.

i got the seats for free from a junkyard and the covers were about $410.00.

1987 Nissan Maxima (grey-ish cloth) seats, replacing the (black vinyl) bucket seats in my a 1979 Chevy Malibu. I only had to fab some attachments from 1/8" steel strip and add something to keep the shoulder belt off of my neck. My lower back has thanked me off and on ever since, and if you've ever had that problem, a mild color mismatch in the (play) car that your wife doesn't want to drive anyway means nothing. If I ever get rid of that car, those seats will be among the pieces I'll keep for the next project.

Those look pretty nice. I'm still looking for seats to use in my 68.

That looks sweet. Great job in getting them to match so well.

I was at a U-Pull-It last week and ran across an old Fiero and remembering this thread looked inside. Only the passenger seat was there and the back was bent over.

Page 25 of my cardomain site shows how I modified the fiero tracks to work in the 68. The center to center measurement of the fiero seat was the same as my 68. I only had to change the rear mounting points.
