First of all a lot of your parts in question can be ordered from Summit Racing, they have a lot to choose from atvery reasonable prices. I have personally built a 392" stroker which turned out very good indeed. I would recommend the Competition CamsExtreme Energy 282H roller cam together with Edelbrock Victor Jr. intake and a Speed Demon or Holley double pumper carb. around 730cfm. I used the AFR alu-heads tested on this specific engine combo by Mustang & Fast Fords a few years back, they added 85hp at 6000rpm over Fords GT40's! This engine idles all day at 750rpmwith exellent vacuum and pulls strong from idle to max. rpm(I have set mine to 6500) Running a Tremec TKO 5sp and 3:89-1 traction-lock I run the 1/4-mile at 12.2sec and averages about 18mpg at 55mph(nice driving) Be avare the Victor Jr. intake together with a decent 2" air cleaner might be to tall for your stock hood depending on your application.

Good luck!

Okay thanks. Does Summit sell the Comp Cams roller? I could not find it in the catalog but I will look again. Also how much did u buy those heads for and where. Also, would the engine be able to burn gas as quick as it came if I used an 800 cfm of shouldI just stick to the 750. I want maximum performance and horsepower. Thanks.

I believe Summit can get you the Comp Cam,just give them a call and ask. The heads I ordered directly from AFR and had them set up with the adjustable and correct stud for the roller rockers. These heads are of very high quality with lots of "meat" and are ready to bolt on. All I had to do was to match the intakemanifold-poprts to the head-ports. I paid about $1'450:- for a pair. The 800cfm carburetor is a tad to big, I would recommend the 750cfm with the correct set-up(power-valves,jets,orifices etc.) In Norway gas is very expensive($5.00/gl) but 98 octane unleaded is readily available at all gas stations. I run 10.7:1 compression using flat-top hyperteuctic(or something like that) Keith Black Silvolite pistons. You should consider about 9.7:1 CR.

I would put a roller cam in it at all cost which would be around $300.00 @ lunati cams they make what ya need just for your engine, rockers you could use SVO 1.72's..I also agree on a 750 demon with 4 corner idle control and have the power valve open at a lower vac reading. Heads I would use the AFR 205 's they flow great and have alot of room to port. and with 2.05 intake breath very well and I would use just a flat top forge piston and have them fly cut.
