on 66 should the tail light panel be strait

Default on 66 should the tail light panel be strait

getting ready to primer car and if i put a strait edge from one tail light to the other the back light panel looks like if bowes in and right around the gas filler hole its about 1/2 gap is this normal

I am at work so not near my car, but I do think mine has an inward slant. What does it look like with the trunk lid shut. The lip of the trunk lid should have the same shape as the tail light panel.

the trunk has the same gap the length of the panel the bow is lower where the gas filler is so flat up high and then it starts to bow the lower you go but everything else looks mostly straight. you can only tell if you have trunk open and look down at the panel but the curve looks like if belongs their.

I went and checked mine and it appears to be slightly concave as well.

I had wondered about that too. I noticed it when I was home on R & R, my rear bumper also bows in too. I figured the PO backed into something. Would not surprise me with some of the other stuff they did.

They were concave from the factory, not to a major degree, but concave none the less.
