I'm proud of you Eragon! Not only do you have an emberglo car (lol Scott), but you're using your I6 as a performance base. Absolutely nothing wrong with that.

I can't answer the engine questions, but the tranny likely needs to be rebuilt. I suspect a shift fork is bent, which is common in T5's which have no internal shift stops. Get yourself a decent aftermarket shifter with adjustable stops to keep this from happening again. If you're lucky, you won't have much else internally that needs to be replaced. Syncros probably, but hopefully the gears are ok. You could rebuild it yourself; I've heard manuals aren't that difficult. You'll probably need a press, though, so you may want to take it to a shop.

Thanks guys! Is there some joke about the Emberglo that I'm missing here? I'll look into haveing the tranny rebuilt, just don't know of a shop around here to do it. Now where'd I put that stinkin phone book?

BA, I got an e-mail from the Admin at FordSix and he said that they are moving to a new server and it will be back up next week. Definately joining your group too!

He's making it hard for me to sell stuff and look at turbo pages...

There are several more I6 people on here also, they might pop in sometime.

EDIT: Here is the link to pics and info about my coupe with an I6.

Hehe. It's just not a common color. Some people (really) like it, some people hate it. It's kind of a running joke on another forum.

BA, you have a great looking car there! What kind of horsepower do you get out of it?

Starfury, I love the Emberglo. Wouldn't change it for the world. I'm actually gunna repaint it soon.

Just replaced the master cylinder and bled the brakes. I've decided I'm gunna clean and repaint the engine compartment and engine. It looks like crap right now.

I really don't know. I haven't had time to go get it dynoed. I am guessing around 100+ HP.

I asked a guy before I put on the DSII(still had pertronix on) and had the carb tuned and they were guessing 100. Then I added the DSII so I have vacuum advance and then tuned the carb, so I would guess more that 100.

Really? Is the 120HP far exagerated or what? Any idea as to the stock HP?
