Question 67 hood for 65 stang?

hi guys, i usually have newer mustangs but i've always loved the classics and i finally bought one. A 65 mustang coupe....for 1,300....its in OK shape, Arizona car so no rust and a 390 with a 4 speed manual, i love it....time to restore it and maybe add a few mods. i love the hoods on the 67-68 mustangs that have the blinker mechanisms in them, id love to get a hood like that for my car, would an actual hood from a 67 fit on my 65 or did the stang get wider in that year? if not is there a aftermarket hood that looks like the 67 that i can do that 2?
thanks

I dont remember 100% but I believe they are the same width, but the 67/68 is longer than the 65/66.

Also, you sure thats a 390 in there?

I have read in the past the hoods are not interchangeable. That is one of the things I really miss from my 68. Of course with time, skill, patience and money anything is possible. But I have never seen a 65-66 with the hood blinkers.

If I remember right the '67 should be almost 2 inches wider because they put big blocks in those and theres no way a big blocks going in a '65 w/out doing some mods.

I agree with simonds, you should double check on that 390.

Please post a picture as I would love to see how they got a 390 in a 65.
