Default Help Picking a Carb

Almost stock 289
.040
Performer 289 Intake
HEI Ignition
204/214 @.448/.472
Stock Heads (yuck)
Stock Exhaust Manifold

I was thinking a 570 street avenger, but the dual inlet concept is telling me it too much for this motor

I want something that i can make look good because the engine bay is the highlight of my car...

Edelbrock or Holley, doesn't matter, but you guys have me pretty well persuaded to Holley.

Dual feed just means each fuel bowl has it's own inlet. It doesn't change how the carb works, it's just sort of a standard Holley thing on a lot of carbs. 2 floats to set, but then an Edelbrock has 2 floats as well.

plus, holleys just look more like a carb than a box sitting on the engine like a holley does IMO

My vote:

Holley 570 street avenger

kalli, how do you like yours? Have always heard good things about them. I just don't like Edelbrock cards. JMO.

I'm quite sure it's the right size but I have a feeling it's tuned out of the box for the 289 stocker I had. Ran fine on that one. So I have some work ahead tuning. the good news is there's plenty of room.
What always has me curious is the tiny primary Jet (122-54). no other Holley has that.
all other 600cfm carbs are 65-ish ?!
