MSD has always been a good company, everything on my engine is MSD, and thats probably all I would put on it. So yeah, I think its worth spending the extra $$. Lets hope thats all you have to do. Good Luck[sm=gears.gif]

MSD is very reliable and the choice of those with high performance engines for the most part.

If You are running higher horsepower, go with a quality distributor. I sheared the pin in a stock distributor that meshes the gear to the cam, with a rebuilt engine with hipo cam. The pin in the MSD is twice as strong as the stock. I wouldn't have been stuck on the side of the road for that has I put a MSD in. I am buying a MSD for my engine - lesson learned the hard way.

I have a Mallory distributor with Mallory unlite fire & mallory HyFire box. I use this combo because the MSD would not fit under shaker scoop. With the Mallory I use a crab cap, like what is on a boat engine, this gives me plenty of room below trhe shaker.
