Default Electric trunk latch issues

Well I just installed an electric trunk latch and door locks to my 65. First recommendation:

Get rid of the relay( the one that comes with the chrome lever kit ) that mounts under the trim panel in the door. Replace with a regular auto 12 volt regulator and mount near the fuse panel. I haven't even got the thing on the road yet and it crapped out. By the way made in China. To make things activate with a remote I bought a alarm from a company in detroit ( look under vehicle specific auto alarms) and they have been extremely helpfull in getting things to work. They sent me the door actuators and all the hardware except the trunk release kit. I now have auto door locks and trunk release with a remote as well as a pretty nice alarm. Still working on a couple of things but am in the learning the system mode. Pretty frustrating in the heat working under the dash making sure things are wired the right way especially when the car only came with idiot lights and I have installed just about every option.

That's why I went with the old fashioned cable operated type.

I was going to go with the cable but I wanted to be able to open the trunk with the alarm remote. It is a nice feature as the trunk pops open about half way.
