Default rebuilt carb

I need to rebuild my carb and i was wondering what would be a better solution...

(im not looking for a performance, new carb, just a cheap econ carb)

I can either get a rebuild kit for about 30 bucks at local napa, autozone or pep boys
OR
I can get a rebuilt carb for about 90 at those places with a 20 core charge.

I was wondering if 90 is a good price for a rebuilt carb or can i find it cheaper if i look better??

I checked local venders like NPD and Harris Mustang but Harris doesnt sell it and NPD is about 120 for a rebuilt (their prices always suck).

I'dlike some advice on what i should do, thanks.

What their warranty and what is yours? What is your confidence level to do a good rebuild?

Turn in your old carb for the 20 bucks, and get one already rebuilt. 70 bucks later, you have a rebuilt carb that works with a bit of tweaking, and you don't have all the frustrations and problems that come with rebuilding one yourself. My .02 cents. I need .98 cents in change, please.

beh sorry for the long reply, I've been mainly focusing on the body to much lately to worry about the carb.

Anyhoot i called a bunch of local auto suppliers to round up the type of carbs and prices.

Advance Auto Parts- $98.88: Champion. 1year warr.
AutoZone- 82.99- Champion. ($10 core) (no info on warr.)
Holley Ford 2100- 109.99 ($35 core) (no info on warr.)
Napa- $200 something for a rebuilt carb-- Dunno why napa doesnt offer anything cheaper like the above?

As far as what kind of model carb mine is, i have no idea where to find that information at. I tried looking at the carb for any numbers or any sign of what kind it is, but i couldnt find anything on it. I dont plan on REBUILDING my carb, but rather just being a rebuilt carb as Soaring suggested. It's a lot easier for me to pay a little extra for a rebuilt one and just bolt it on rather than have to clean and do all the repair work myself considering i know nothing about carbs.

As far as warranty levels, I'm pretty sure theyre all one years, I know AAP offers a carb for about 120 for a 3 year warranty, probably also a champion.

Any advice on which carb to go with?

Check with Pony Carbs to see what they have for you. Those sound like pretty pricey carbs to me.
