Default Starter Solenoid?

I went to crank my car yesterday and nothing happened (almost like it was completely dead but its not). Eventually, after playing with the ignition for a few minutes it all of a sudden started to turn over and crank. This happened a while back but it just took a few seconds to get it turning over. Yesterday was the longest it took to get it turning over. Do you think my problem is the starter solenoid going bad?

That, or a loose connection in that general circuit. Clean all your contacts and whack that solenoid with a plastic screwdriver...

ya the connection from the solonoid to the starter go out sometimes mine did the same thing...also that wire dangling near the exhaust manifold is pretty unsafe as it can start an electrical fire i got a shorter wire myself

Check to make sure the soleniod is securely fastened to the apron. It needs to grounded well.

if you drive automatic, maybe you have a problematic neutral safety switch?
