Those cragar V-5's weigh 26lbs a piece for 15x7 and 28lbs for a 15x8, I seriously doubt they weigh less than the pony rims. I cant find the weight of your old rims but I'm going to guess they would be 18-20lbs.

you should look around for a set of drag lites or something similar, if you want to cut weight that may be a good area to do it in without sacrificing driveability, streetability and comfort...

They were 22 or 23. You would think the V-5s would weigh less than they do.

The V-5 is steel. A steel rim is almost always going to weigh more than an aluminum rim of similar size.

i vote for just lookin around locally for a set used, i know a guy picked up of aluminum wheels for his mud truck that a guy was sellin at his speed shop for like $100 for all 4, cant hurt to look around and see what ya can find

I've been looking like crazy all over craigslist, ebay, and other car forums. I have found a set I would like, but they are out of my price range.

you might as well jsut save up untill you can afford the wheels you want, otherwise youll buy a set run them, not be happy and then sell them for less than you bought them for probably and end up buying the aluminum wheels anyways, do it right the first time itll save you ALOT of money in the long run
