Default engine help!

so, i have this engine. and we put it together, heads and a cam. and the front cam bearing didnt look amazing, but looked runable, so we left it alone. get it all together and i have NOT anywhere the amount of power i feel i should, and im loosing around 800RPM on the top end, didnt wanna climb past 54-5500. we also put a melling h/v oil pump on the darn thing to keep pressure up. its a 75ish lb pump when running high rpm's. the oil pressure has seemed to gone down a bit each week, and when i pulled off the track, i had 20 lbs of pressure!! wtf! and it keeps trying to cut out on me. could all these problems be from the cam bearing? ive talked to some people and they seem to think this is the problem.
opinions?
