Why didn't you go with a fatter tire up front? 235/245?

well I completed the drop. now have alittle rubbing up front. Are you running a 7" or 8" wheel up front. I have 8" with 4 3/4" BS. and 225/45/17. Can I run the 8" wheel and put on 215/45/17 or 215/40/17 and not rub. or shoud I change to a 7' wheel. Any ways it looks good, just dont have alot of room. Did drive it hard but when driving to the alignment shop it did rub. Just worrys me alittle. Thanks

Did you end up doing the rear suspension as well?

didnt get to the rear yet. I am trying to get the front done first. I think I will be doing a 1.5 in the rear but not sure yet. still thinking about it. Just went out and got some 215/40/17 to replace the 225/45/17 that were on the front. I tryed to get it aligned and they said there would be enough room. So I am going to drop it off in the morning with the 215s and give that a try. wish me luck.

The spring perch is pivoted by the shock, not the spring. If you ever had a slinky, you know how a spring will flex, the shock won't. We have been dealing with a large amount of customers who have broken off the bottom of the shock using the rubber bushing perches. Once they put the roller perch in, the cars ride smoother, steer better, have more grip and don't break the shocks.

Interesting. I have been "into" Mustangs since 1966, and even worked in restoration. I have never seen a front shock broken at the bottom. I have even autocrossed my 66. Now, I don't get into track racing, but I've seen and worked on a LOT of street Mustangs, many of them far from stock, but no broken shocks, so forgive me if broken shocks are just not high on my radar screen.

Here is what a broken shock looks like.
