I'd suspect they were blown out. GR-2's are about equivalent to Monroe SensaTracs. They're designed specifically for ride quality, whereas the Gas-A-Justs are designed for handling and are particularly stiff as a result.

I have and like a set of Edelbrock IAS's. They ride much better than the Gas-A-Justs I removed, and they handle better to boot. They do a much better job of keeping the tires planted on the pavement.

The Edelbrock shocks are nice, but they are a bit out of my price range. Maybe I'll get them next time I need shocks.
