Default Hooker Headers

Got my hooker headers delivered and for some reason they do not fit !! The transmission bellhousing seems to get in the way of them being installed correctly... Is this a typical problem when ordering headers online? Can I have a shop fix it somehow? Maybe by cutting and rewelding the headers to fit properly??
Pretty disappointed about this

Sure you got the right headers for your application. I've got hookers on my 70 with 302 C4 and no problems. I order 99% of my parts online - as long as you get right part # for your set up - should be okay other than needing to do a drop of steering linkage.

Im not sure about your 70, but in my 65 with the AOD installed i was unable to put my hooker headers in until i jacked up the motor and slid them in. Then i was simply able to put the motor back down and bolt up the headers.

Yes I tried putting them on with the engine out of the car first. A small round loop(?) on the bellhousing is in the way on one side. The loop seems to server no purpose, meaning there is no bolt holes on it or anything of the sort. Should I cut it off? haha.
I got the long pipe headers not the shortys maybe thats why...

By tooth are you referring to my flywheel? I believe this is a large bellhousing in that case. I will see what I can come up with. Lots of work to do today
