Default possible purchase help!!!

I know where there is an early mustang, possibly for sale. What should I look for when I offer a price for it? There is no rust, no big dents, looks like it was when the older lady bought it. No bubba has touched it. It has been parked for about 5 years or more out of the sun. I don't know if it is an auto, or manual, or if it is a 6 or an 8.

Is there any guidelines on price for the early 1964-1968 models?? I have restored a 1977 Monte Carlo I bought new, so I know the cost involved.

Thanks for your help.

Have you seen or just heard about this car? Is it for sale online? If its local, go check it out and find out as much information about it then post it up here. Also, whats the current selling price?

That is not nearly enough information to even guess at a price.. Go look at it and give us a bunch of more details. Get the code numbers from the driver's door and post them here.. Take your digital camera and post some pics.. If you are serious about purchasing this car, you need to do the homework. We can help you to decide what actual car you are looking at, but need a bunch of more information.

You can alway do a search on Classicautotrader.com or dealsonwheels.com for same year same style. That will at least tell you what others are asking and will show some pictures (which can really lie!!!).

More importantly what is a car like this worth to you. When I found mine it was about $2K higher than what I thought it should go for. But... it was exactly the car I wanted. That was worth more than the difference in the price.

Good luck,

Hope to hear your the proud owner of the best Mustang ever built (next to mine )
