Looking for Carb Suggestions
Hello all,
I'm looking for a suggestion on which carb I should go with. I have a '65 coupe with a 289 that has been bored to a 293. The cam was replaced with a kit from Comp Cams that included the Lifters and Roller Rockers. I'll provide a link to the cam below. It was a mild mod, nothing wild at all. The only other changes has been Hooker headers and dual exhaust. What carb would you guys go with. I've been looking through the Holley 4bl but I'm unsure of which model I need to fit my application.

Nothing like an Autolite 4100 (1.08) IMO. No leaks, easy to rebuild and set up. And, it has that vintage/original vibe. If you are interested and looking for one on ebay, just make sure you don't get one jetted for a big block or a california emissions model. The model with the 1.08 venturies if 480cfm I believe. I have a mild set up in my 289 as well and IMO the 4100 is the perfect carb for the engine.
Budget is going to be an issue. The warden threw a fit after I bought my Kimber 1911 and demanded a wedding set before I bought any more toys. Of course now I need a carb. Would something like this be ideal?
