Default Dizzy question

I have a DSII distributor off of a 79 Granada 4.1l 250 I6. Could I put this distributor in a 302 and just buy a new cap?

No, that's a 6 cylinder distributor. Note at the base (just below the rotor) there is a cam that looks like a bolt head, on the one you have there are only 6 "corners" whereas on a v8 it would have 8 "corners".

those are the humps that usually open the contact breaker (points).

and I wouldn't even start to go with a distributor that _might_ fit. you might eat up your gears
