Stalling when turning fast

Check to make sure that all of the carb hold-down bolts are firmly tightened down. If the carb can tip slightly one way because the bolt(s) on one side are a little loose, it'll lean out to the point where it quits when you turn in one direction (but not in the other, or when driving straight). You may need a new gasket if the old one is beat up.
