Default 65 headlight wirung loose?

Hello, I noticed my passenger headlight was not working so I went and bought a new one. Well it still did not come on, just a little orange glow, until I tapped it then it came on, I retaped all of the original wiring ( some has broke it the past) and the light was off, until I tapped it again, where else could there be a loose wire causing this on and off phase?

Start at the dimmer switch. the headlight wires go there. if that wire is good, check the switch itself. then the wire from the dimmer to the headlight switch..then the headlight switch itself.

It sounds more like a loose ground if your getting a dim bulb. Check the grounds.
