Default I need trunk interior ideas.

so i got the car back from being touched up at the painters. I need now to finish the interior of the trunk. I plan on adding an amp and a sub woofer or two. for now though i would just like to line it with GOOD QUALITY CARPET.

do any of the parts houses have a nice trunk liner in carpet?

right now it is painted with a undercoating treatment. when i carpet it should i cover the wheel wells?

has anyone built panels to cover the gas filler tube?

can some of you guys post pics of your detailed trunks so i can get some ideas?

I have bought auto carpet from carpet stores before for some of my older vehicles and cut to fit.

i am thinking about taking it to an interior shop. i may make all the panels that i want and then take them in and have them covered and trimmed.

get some 5/8" or 1/2 or so MDF wood and make your own panels! that's what I did, nice flat trunk. Also, MDF is the perfect wood for making custom sub boxes. Here's some pics of what I did, I just got some carpet at home depot and it looks great!

oh and btw I got a small amp, just enough to power the sub to my liking, and mounted it to the back of my sub box for a nice clean look, you can't see it at all from the trunk.

Its all about the clean simple look. Most mustang part houses carry this kit. Its close to $300 but the end result is a perfectly carpeted trunk.
