i have a 67 fastback with a 289ci 2barrel with stock heads (don't know what all you need to know).
Not sure if you can tell, but if you do know how many cc's the chamber is, i would aprreciate it, as i am looking into new heads. don't have a manual or anything and i can't see anything on the valve covers, etc.

a 289 is a 4738cc engine

4738/8=592.25cc per cylinder (???)

No, when i looked online for new heads, they where specific to different cc's (67cc chamber, 61cc chamber, etc)

 

ooohhhhh, or is this the stats on the heads? (runner rails, chamber size, etc.)

 

i think maybe thats on the heads. lol. srry, i thot i had to match the cc's of my cars cylinder chamber and could only put on heads of equal cc chamber size. Is this right ??? If it is, can you tell me whats better for more power?:?? bigger chamber and bigger rails = more power???? help me understand plz
