65 and 66 had orange blocks, actually its Ford Red but it looks orange. The engine is a Jasper Rebuild that was bought by the PO, and it runs perfect with the Pertronix under the dissy cap. All it needs is a Pertronix coil as I'm runnin the stock one now.

Ez, I will hurry as soon as i can start the project! I can start on it after the fourth, so I'm ready to go!

Racin, yea the Jasper is awesome, we drove the car home from where we got it from the shipper (15 or 20 min from home) with orange gas in the tank and the accelerator pump linkage disconnected, and once you got it goin from a stop it would haul, even up hills on the orange gas!

Someone got orange and red mixed up when they named the color...

Sooooo then.... care to have a friendly challenge? I plan to get started on my fastback after the 4th as well. Want to see who can get it in paint first? You are actually ahead of me even though yours is in one piece..

I never understood why they put sixers in a fastback, still the idea of a 6 is interesting since the early cars are so light and gas is so damn spendy lately.

Looking forward to your progress, even if you dont want to pick up the gauntlet.

I'm game, I prolly have as much rust as you, maybe less, but we will see what happens, LOL! Keep in mind I am being watched over by an expert body guy, so that might help my cause some. And the 6 is stayin, 25 mpgs outta classic 'Stang sounds good to me.

It could be worse.
