Default Question about coils

The previous owner installed an Accel distributor a big square Accel Super Coil. He welded a piece of steel to the monte carlo bar for mounting the coil. He also mounted what looks like a boat fuel filter to this piece of steel. The fuel filter on my car is as big as a small oil filter.

The functionality of all this is great, but its a little too clunky for my taste. I'm going to replace the fuel filter with a standard in-line type. I was going to move the coil to to inner fender, but now I'm thinking of going with a more stock looking can type coil either the Accel Super Stock or MSD Blaster. Is one better than the other?

Is there a difference in spark (or any performance difference) between the big Accel Super Coil and the Super Stock? Or is the big coil merely "old school" that has since been improved upon?

I'll post a picture of my current monte carlo bar before I remove anything.

Good call on cleaning stuff up, and I say go with the MSD, my brother in law used an Accell coil on his firechicken once and a replacement, neither lasted three months.

Might have just been bad luck.....

He is running an MSD that has been on for a long time.

MSD all the way. In my experience, Accel has been less than reliable.
