Default Spark plug wires

I need some new spark plug wires. I just went down to Napa and bought their $27 Belden wires and found they are really flimsy and have almost 3000 ohms of resistance. That is no good since the wires I have are around 800-1000 ohms. (now I'm worried about the points, condenser, and cap I bought from them )

I don't have tons of money to spend on wires, but if I could get some for around $50 or less that had less resistance than the ones I have, I would be happy.

Any suggestions? Remember, its an I6.

I buy mine from autozone. They have 2 sets for under $20.

Shouldn't have a problem with the Napa wires. I ran with them for several thousand miles before I switched to some Taylor wires. The Napa wires are just not fit to proper length so it was a bit of a sloppy look under the hood and I couldn't find the proper ends to fit them to proper length; otherwise they worked fine.

Belden wires are high quality OE-style replacements, much better than the equivalent Autolites. 3kOhms is about right for a set of stock replacements. Contrary to popular belief, fancy low-resistance wires aren't necessary, especially if you have a stock ignition system. The high resistance wires reduce RFI that can screw with your stereo.

That said, for the price of the Beldens you can pick up some universal cut-to-fit aftermarket wires. I recommend against Taylor, just as a personal preference. They work fine and have great specs and decent (but not complete) RFI reduction, but I don't like the silicone outer shell. It's soft and easily nicked.

I like MSD's, and you don't have to worry about angled connectors on your motor (sbf's like 135* connectors, which MSD doesn't offer), so they'd probably work fine for you.

Yeah, I guess they just feel like a downgrade, because they are quite flimsy wires, plus they have the higher resistance. Not to mention they appear to be a little short, which will be the real problem.

Is BWD any good? I bought some for my truck a while back and they seem to work fine.

I have had the Taylor wires on mine for quite awhile now and have never had any issues at all. They also have a good color selection.

Sweet, I returned the Napa wires and got some BWD wires from Schucks. A little better resistance from my old ones and they fit perfectly!

Better get 2 sets. The way you'll have enough to make it run in one trip. Sorry, nothing good I can add here... These are for the car you're patching to sell to that guy you don't like that lives in another state.
